The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to host the ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024. Scheduled from June 1 to June 29, the tournament will test the dynamism and excitement of T20 cricket, which is acclaimed for its dynamism and excitement.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup teams, schedule and venues
Twenty teams worldwide will participate for supremacy in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The participating teams will be divided into four groups(A, B, C, D), each Group consisting of five qualifying teams.
According to the format of the tournament, only the top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 8 schedule. This means that teams must consistently perform at their best to advance in the competition, adding an extra layer of intensity to the group stage matches.
Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule
In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, three venues in the USA and six in the Caribbean will be used.
10 teams will play their first match of (29-day tournament) in the United States, with 16 matches that will be held in Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York. India and Pakistan fixture is scheduled to be played at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island on 9 June.
In the upcoming tournament, 41 matches are scheduled to be played across six different islands of the Caribbean. Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana are set to host the semifinals While the Final is scheduled to be played at Kensington Oval, Barbados. The tournament will start on 1 June with the fixture between co-hosts the United States and Canada.

The Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be co-hosted by the West Indies and the USA, playing across nine stadiums. For the teams who might not perform well in the initial group stage Schedule, this format introduces a second chance. These teams can still qualify for the Super Eight Schedule by finishing in the top two of their respective groups in the second phase.
